About Me

Hey there,

My name is Jean-François Vergne, I'm a 0 years old Robotics Engineer. I was born in 1985 in Normandy, France. As far as I remember I have always been attracted by robots. Not necessarily creating robots, but using them, programming them. After a few years travelling a lot across Europe and the USA, commissioning mobile robots for major companies (Procter&Gamble, Volkswagen, BASF, Amazon, Renault, BMW...) I wanted to get new skills and I motivated myslef to learn how to create websites. I realized that I was interested in coding in a large way, not only for robots. I am still currently learning, this page will probably evolve with time as I will get new skills on my way to become a Fullstack Developer.

I am currently learning how to put some interactivity in a website. For instance, select the unit you would like to use to display my age using the radiot buttons below:

Years Months Weeks Days Hours Minutes Seconds

You will find below a few examples of the projects I developped. You will find links to my resume and my contact page in the navigation bar.

Projects

Fotomatic

A fake company website, part of the "Fullstack Engineer" path from Codecademy. The company is supposed to deal with photography. The website is static, the idea here was to learn how to use media queries.

Club International de la Saucisse

A fake club website, again part of the "Fullstack Engineer" path from Codecademy. I was supposed to choose the topic of the club. I don't know why, the first that came to my mind were sausages... The objective was to create a responsive website.

Tea Cozy

Another fake company website (dealing with tea this time), still part of the "Fullstack Engineer" path from Codecademy. I used that project to learn how to use the flex property.

Calculator

Older project when I started to the Odin Project platform to learn how to code. This is a basic calculator. The objective was to use a lot of Javascript.

Etch a Sketch

Another project aimed to get familiar with Javascript to learn how to bring some interactivity to my sites. It is a very simple drawing tool.
